Small cap wrap: Nextech3D.ai, Valdor Technology, Ilika, Imugene...

Nextech3D.AI (CSE:NTAR, OTCQX:NEXCF, FRA:1SS) has unveiled a strategic artificial intelligence growth roadmap focused on expanding its technology offerings across workforce intelligence, team engagement and event technology markets.

The company said the roadmap builds on its existing technology platform and is intended to guide future development of AI-powered tools designed to improve employee engagement, customer interactions and event experiences.

Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF, FRA:I8A), the AIM-listed developer of solid-state battery technology, received a broker endorsement after raising £4.5 million through an accelerated bookbuild at 28p a share, alongside a retail offer of up to £500,000 at the same price.

Solid-state batteries replace the flammable liquid electrolyte in conventional lithium-ion cells with a solid material, promising faster charging, greater safety and longer life.

Talga Group Ltd (ASX:TLG, OTCQX:TLGRF, FRA:TGX) has begun commercial deliveries of its flagship battery graphite anode product Talnode®-C to Nyobolt under a binding offtake agreement, marking a key step from qualification volumes to ongoing sales revenue.

The first shipment, priced at the contracted commercial rate, has been delivered from Talga’s EVA demonstration plant in Luleå, Sweden, following successful final customer qualification and audits. The balance of the 3,000-tonne offtake is expected to be supplied from Talga’s planned commercial-scale anode plant in the same region, with construction targeted to begin in 2027 subject to final investment decision.

Imugene Ltd (ASX:IMU, OTC:IUGNF, FRA:ILA) earlier this week reported the first complete response in the concurrent Bruton Tyrosine Kinase inhibitor, or BTKi, cohort of its ongoing Phase 1b azer-cel trial, marking an early clinical signal in a patient population with limited remaining treatment options.

Managing director and CEO Leslie Chong told Proactive the first patient in the cohort, who had follicular lymphoma and had previously failed BTKi therapy, achieved a complete response at the Day 28 assessment. Chong said the result was meaningful because patients who had failed several lines of therapy often faced a significant impact on both themselves and their families.

St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ, FRA:S0G, OTC:SGQMF) earlier this week said it had delivered its thickest mineralised intercept to date at the 100%-owned Araxá Rare Earths and Niobium Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil, as executive chairman John Prineas outlined the company’s development pathway in an interview with Proactive.

Prineas said St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ, OTC:SGQMF) had raised A$60 million to top up its cash reserves and accelerate development workstreams at the rare earths and niobium project. Hancock Prospecting contributed A$20 million to the placement, increasing its stake in the company from 6% to 10%.

Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL, FRA:RGV, OTC:RVSGF) has reached a major development milestone at its Northern Zone Gold Project in Western Australia, with Mining Lease M25/389 now granted for an initial 21-year term.

The lease covers Northern Zone, part of the company’s Kalgoorlie Gold Project, which sits 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie in one of Australia’s most established gold districts. The mining lease has been granted through to July 1, 2047, and can be renewed.

Orthocell Ltd (ASX:OCC, OTC:ORHHF) has appointed MediTime as the exclusive in-country distributor for its nerve repair product Remplir™ in Thailand, opening a commercial pathway into a Thai nerve repair market estimated at about US$84 million.

The appointment follows regulatory approval from the Thai Food and Drug Administration in CY25, allowing Orthocell to begin commercialising Remplir in Thailand.

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index (ASX) edged higher, adding 10.70 points, or 0.31%, to 3,407.70 yesterday.

Despite the daily lift, the index remains lower over the past five sessions, down 26.30 points, or 0.77%, to 3,406.10, reflecting a still-cautious tone across the small-cap sector.
