CleanTech Lithium PLC CTL View profile

CleanTech Lithium updates on Chilean lithium project progress and CFO

CleanTech Lithium PLC (AIM:CTL), the AIM-listed company developing sustainable lithium projects in Chile, said that ratification of its special lithium operating contract is taking longer than expected.

The company had anticipated the contract, known as a CEOL, would be ratified in the second quarter of 2026.

The administrative process with Chile's Comptroller General's Office has run on, however, as the office works through all the contract decrees put forward by the previous government.

Chief executive Ignacio Mehech has met new government representatives several times and said he was encouraged by their support for the company's ambitions at its Laguna Verde project.

He now expects the contract to be signed later this year.

Separately, the company said chief financial officer Gordon Stein would continue in his role under an extended consulting agreement.
