Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) said it has cleared a key data hurdle in the development of its Method C AI Oracle, putting the company on track to generate a first version using a new ASIC manufacturer dataset as early as the end of June.
The AIM-listed blockchain research and development company said the manufacturer’s Mining Development Kit is now fully operational and connected to QBT’s server infrastructure. The associated crypto mining rig is also generating data of sufficient quality to train the AI learning models underpinning the Method C AI Oracle.
QBT said the work followed close cooperation between its University of Milan research team, the ASIC manufacturer’s engineers and US-based consultants. The collaboration focused on adapting the mining rig operating system and micro-controller code to produce structured mining data streams suited to QBT’s AI models.
Chief executive and executive chairman Francesco Gardin said the process had “taken longer than expected” because of the need to master the specific characteristics of the new ASIC, but added that QBT is “now finally in a position to train the learning models, generate the AI Oracle and perform live testing”.
Once generated, the AI Oracle will be deployed on the ASIC manufacturer’s MDK platform for live testing under operating conditions connected to a live mining pool.
