Atomic Eagle targets growing US uranium investor base with OTCQX upgrade

Atomic Eagle Ltd (ASX:AEU, FRA:6QZ0) has upgraded its US trading platform to the OTCQX Best Market, a move the company says will improve access to North American investors as nuclear power regains momentum in US energy policy.

The uranium explorer and developer has commenced trading on OTCQX under the ticker AEUXF after graduating from the OTCQB Venture Market. The company will continue trading on the ASX under the code AEU.

Management said the upgrade reflects higher financial, governance and disclosure standards and is designed to increase visibility among US institutional investors and specialist uranium-focused funds at a time when demand for nuclear energy is accelerating.

Chief executive officer Phil Hoskins said the timing aligned with a structural shift in the uranium market.

“Our upgrade to OTCQX represents a significant step for Atomic Eagle, providing direct access to US investors at a time when nuclear energy is undergoing a structural resurgence,” he said.

“Recent US government actions to expand nuclear capacity, rebuild domestic fuel supply chains, and accelerate deployment of small modular reactors reinforce our view that uranium markets are entering a sustained period of growth.

“With the advanced Muntanga Uranium Project in a stable jurisdiction like Zambia, Atomic Eagle is well positioned to benefit from these trends.”

US nuclear push gathers pace

Atomic Eagle pointed to a series of recent US government initiatives supporting the nuclear sector, including plans to expand domestic nuclear generation capacity to about 400 gigawatts by 2050, rebuild uranium supply chains and enrichment capability, and accelerate deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs).

The company noted the US Department of Energy recently announced a US$94 million funding program aimed at helping accelerate SMR deployment, while broader policy measures are increasingly linking nuclear power to energy security, grid reliability and the growing electricity demands of artificial intelligence and data centres.

According to Atomic Eagle, the OTCQX listing provides access to the world's largest capital market while improving liquidity and trading efficiency for US-based shareholders. The market is reserved for companies meeting higher financial reporting and corporate governance standards than those required on the OTCQB platform.

Muntanga remains central focus

The OTCQX upgrade comes as Atomic Eagle continues advancing its flagship Muntanga Uranium Project in Zambia, which hosts a combined mineral resource of 58.8 million pounds of U₃O₈ across Measured, Indicated and Inferred categories.

Muntanga spans four mining licences and two exploration licences covering more than 1,100 square kilometres near the Zimbabwe border and benefits from existing road infrastructure and export access through Namibia's port of Walvis Bay.

The company has been steadily progressing exploration and development activities across the district-scale project. Last week it reported radiometric survey results that refined drill targets at the Muntanga North prospect, identifying multiple uranium anomalies for follow-up work.

Atomic Eagle has also expanded its Zambian footprint in recent months through the acquisition of the Sitwe uranium project, strengthening its position in one of Africa's emerging uranium jurisdictions as global utilities return to long-term contracting amid expectations of a widening uranium supply deficit.
