European Green Transition PLC EGT View profile

European Green Transition shows a positive start to financial year

European Green Transition PLC (AIM:EGT), in its results for 2025, told investors it had begun this year debt-free, with a stronger balance sheet and a new revenue-generating platform supported by the UK and Ireland wind energy services business that was acquired for £3.5 million.

The AIM-listed company highlighted that the acquisition marked the execution of an M&A-led strategy developed through the prior year.

This saw it pick up Earthmill Maintenance, Wind Energy Partnership, Silverford Engineering and Anemos Analytics, giving it a platform that comprises operations, maintenance, repair and remote monitoring services for more than 900 onshore wind turbines.

EGT ended 2025 with £2.3 million in cash, compared with £3.7 million a year earlier. Its balance sheet was subsequently strengthened by a £7.5 million upsized and oversubscribed placing and subscription completed in March 2026.

The group said it is working toward a medium-term target of £50 million in group revenue and double-digit EBITDA margins, supported by organic growth in wind services, repowering activity and selective bolt-on acquisitions.

As of 31 March, its repowering pipeline included 55 signed heads of terms, 25 planning approvals granted, 13 projects commenced and three completed projects.

Executive chair Cathal Friel said the wind acquisition delivered “immediate revenues, EBITDA profitability and a scalable platform for growth”.

EGT, meanwhile, noted it has continued discussions over sale or partnership options for its non-core exploration assets, including the Olserum rare earth element project in Sweden.
