Market movers: Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Mobileye…

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) closed 2025 with mixed results, as US fourth-quarter deliveries fell amid a steep drop in electric vehicle (EV) demand, even as the automaker posted industry-leading full-year sales.

US deliveries in Q4 declined about 7% year-on-year to 703,001 vehicles, with EV sales hit hardest. GM delivered 25,219 EVs, down 43% after federal tax credits for new EV purchases expired in September. Newer EV models faced sharp declines: Equinox EV sales fell 72%, while Blazer EV dropped 77%, underscoring near-term challenges for mass-market EV adoption.

Shares in Premier African Minerals Ltd (AIM:PREM, OTC:PRMMF) rose 23% to 0.043p on Monday after the company announced an extension to its offtake and prepayment agreement with Chinese partner Canmax Technologies, relating to the Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project in Zimbabwe.

The updated deal gives Premier more time to meet the terms of its supply and funding arrangement, pushing the so-called Long Stop Date from 31 December 2025 to the earlier of 30 June 2026 or the point at which a new buyer acceptable to Canmax agrees to settle the outstanding prepayment.
