Orthocell records first Remplir sales in Hong Kong as Asian expansion accelerates

Orthocell Ltd (ASX:OCC, OTC:ORHHF) has achieved its first commercial sales of Remplir™ in Hong Kong, marking a meaningful step in the company’s push into Asia and rounding out a strong year of geographic expansion for its flagship nerve repair device.

The initial sales to in-country distributor MontsMed follow last month’s first surgical use of Remplir in Hong Kong and a well-received debut at the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association’s 45th Annual Congress — momentum the company expects will translate into a growing base of surgeon adopters.

The Hong Kong launch also strengthens Orthocell’s presence in the region, building on recent progress across Singapore and New Zealand, and follows a rapid uptake in prostate nerve repair procedures in Australia, where more than 100 Remplir cases have now been recorded.

Strategic entry into the Greater Bay Area

Orthocell says Hong Kong represents a “significant growth opportunity”, acting as a gateway into the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area — a healthcare market covering nine major cities and roughly 100 million people.

“First Hong Kong sales represent an important commercial milestone for Orthocell and a strong validation of Remplir’s clinical value,” CEO and managing director Paul Anderson said.

“We are well positioned to support MontsMed in driving adoption across leading hospitals in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area,” he added. We are executing our commercialisation strategy with discipline, and today’s achievement marks another step forward in establishing Remplir as a new standard of care in peripheral nerve repair.”

Chief scientific officer Professor Xu Dong Zheng is currently in Hong Kong delivering onboarding and training sessions with MontsMed’s clinical and sales teams. The focus is on clinical education and enhancing the scientific narrative, reinforcing Remplir’s role in high-quality peripheral nerve repair.

Orthocell’s newly appointed Asia Pacific commercial director will also begin in-market activities in Q1 CY26, supporting surgeon outreach, hospital engagement and broader regional expansion.

Global rollout continues to build

The Hong Kong milestone caps a year of accelerating global progress for Remplir. The device is now selling in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and Hong Kong, with first sales expected in Canada and Thailand in the near term as distributor networks come online.

Orthocell recently secured its second distributor in Canada — unlocking access to a market estimated at US$75 million — and continues to build market penetration in Singapore, where sales commenced earlier this year.

The US rollout is also gaining traction. Orthocell says in-country representatives are working with distributors to secure hospital approvals, train surgeons and establish active clinical accounts. Initial case numbers continue to climb as surgeon familiarity with the product increases.

Strong funding base to support scale-up

With about A$50 million in cash and no debt, Orthocell remains well funded to drive execution across multiple markets simultaneously. The company expects broader geographic uptake and distributor engagement to support increased commercial activity through FY26.

Remplir sits within Orthocell’s broader regenerative medicine portfolio, which also includes Striate+™ for dental bone regeneration and SmrtGraft™ for tendon repair. The company is additionally progressing autologous cell therapies for tendon and cartilage regeneration, with work under way to advance its tendon cell therapy program in the United States.

For now, the focus is firmly on scale — and with Hong Kong sales now in hand, Orthocell has added another key market to its growing global footprint.
