The recently announced merger between Canada’s Teck Resources Ltd (USA) (TSX:TCK) and London-listed Anglo American PLC (LSE:AAL) has sharpened investor interest in South America’s copper sector, amid heightened expectations for long-term supply growth and cost competitiveness.
The all-share merger, described as a union of equals, will create a combined group with a market capitalisation of $50bn, under the proposed name Anglo Teck.
Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd (TSX-V:RECO, OTCQX:RECAF) has increased the size of its previously announced public offering from C$10 million to C$18 million, citing strong investor demand.
The offering is led by Research Capital Corporation as the sole bookrunner, with Canaccord Genuity and Haywood Securities participating as underwriters.

T Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, EURONEXT:AIID), doing business as Trust Stamp, announced an amendment to its existing software and licensing agreement with a Fortune 500 financial services customer, extending the contract through May 31, 2031.
The agreement, originally signed in November 2016, includes customary cancellation provisions and reflects adjustments to the fee structure to accommodate increasing usage of Trust Stamp’s technology.
Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) announced that it has entered into a replacement debenture agreement totaling $2.05 million, amending the terms of its previously issued secured convertible debentures.
The company originally issued $1.75 million in 12% secured convertible debentures through a private placement.
Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd (TSX-V:RECO, OTCQX:RECAF) (ReconAfrica) announced an agreement for an overnight marketed public offering of company units, priced at C$0.60 per unit, to raise gross proceeds C$10 million.
The Canadian oil and gas company said net proceeds from the offering will be used for activities related to the advancement of appraisal and exploration expenses related to the Ngulu Production Sharing Contract offshore in the Republic of Gabon.
Shares in Thruvision Group PLC (AIM:THRU, OTC:DIGTF) tumbled 20% after the security technology group reported a sharp fall in annual revenue and deeper losses.
The company, which supplies walk-through scanners to retailers and border agencies, posted sales of £4.2 million for the year to March, down from £7.8 million a year earlier.
Pulsar Helium Inc (AIM:PLSR, TSX-V:PLSR, OTCQB:PSRHF) shares traded higher on Friday, after the company confirmed sustained helium concentrations of 7-8% from its Jetstream #1 and #2 wells at the Topaz project in Minnesota, USA.
The results validate Topaz as a rare primary helium discovery with concentrations far above the 0.3% commercial threshold, the company said.
Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF, OTCQB:GENFF) has moved to strengthen its intellectual property in Asia by filing for examination of a patent covering genetic treatments for a severe liver disease in China.
The London-listed biotech, which focuses on longevity research, said the application concerned variants of the SIRT6 gene that it has developed to tackle non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, or NASH. The condition, which is linked to obesity and diabetes, causes progressive liver damage and has few effective treatments.
Futura Medical PLC (AIM:FUM, OTC:FAMDF) has widened its strategic review after warning that revenues next year will come in well below forecasts and that its cash is likely to run out early in 2026.
