The papers focus on the treatment's use in combating allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, a condition involving both nasal and eye symptoms triggered by grass pollen.

GSK PLC (LSE:GSK, NYSE:GSK) delivered a strong set of second-quarter results, beating expectations on sales, profits, and earnings per share, and raised its guidance to the top end of its previous range.

However, UBS analysts caution that much of this outperformance was driven by timing effects, such as early HIV medicine orders and stock builds, particularly in France for the Shingrix vaccine, which are likely to reverse later in the year.

Prescient Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:PTX, OTC:PSTTF) on Wednesday issued results for the June quarter highlighting the first patient dosing in its Phase 2a trial of PTX-100 for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), following the US FDA’s decision to grant the investigational cancer therapy Fast Track designation.

The designation provides access to expedited regulatory pathways in the US, recognising PTX-100’s potential to address an unmet need in relapsed or refractory mycosis fungoides, the most common CTCL subtype. Prescient closed the quarter with $6.9 million in cash and later raised a further $6.8 million via a Share Purchase Plan (SPP), which concluded in July.

The group reported second-quarter revenue of $14.46 billion, up 12%, driven by double-digit gains in oncology and biopharmaceuticals. Core earnings per share for the quarter rose 10% to $2.17, with reported earnings per share climbing 27% to $1.58.

Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:SRPT) shares jumped 25% at the open on Tuesday after the US Food and Drug Administration recommended the company lift a voluntary pause on shipments of its gene therapy ELEVIDYS for ambulatory Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) patients.

The regulator’s move follows its determination that the death of an eight-year-old patient in Brazil, which had prompted a temporary halt, was unrelated to the therapy. The patient’s death on July 25, was attributed to complications from a severe flu infection and immunosuppression, according to media reports and company disclosures.

UnitedHealth Group Inc (NYSE:UNH, ETR:UNH) reported second-quarter earnings that fell short of Wall Street expectations and reinstated a full-year forecast well below consensus.

The company posted adjusted earnings of $4.08 per share for the quarter ended June 30, significantly below analysts' estimates of $4.45, and marking a 14% decline from a year earlier. Earnings from operations also fell 34% to $5.2 billion, while net margin narrowed by 120 basis points to 3.1%.

In response to investor interest beyond the SPP cap, the company has entered a trading halt to launch a follow-on placement to sophisticated and professional investors at the same share price of A$0.04 — an 11.1% discount to the last traded price on July 28, 2025.

The funds will support PTX-100’s continued development toward regulatory approval.

atai Life Sciences (NASDAQ:ATAI, ETR:9VC) said on Friday that its platform company, Recognify Life Sciences, reported top-line results from a Phase 2b trial of inidascamine in cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia (CIAS), which did not meet the primary endpoint but demonstrated consistent signs of cognitive and functional benefit and maintained a favorable safety profile.
