Live Company cancels KPOP event in London

Live Company Group PLC (AIM:LVCG), the events and entertainment company, has cancelled its upcoming London KPOP event after poor ticket sales meant it was not possible for the concert go ahead.

Planned for the weekend of 22 September, the event was initially going to take place over three days before being reduced to two, with the group experiencing a lack of demand due to another event occurring at the same weekend in Europe.

As the concert was set to take place during a period between other KPOP events, Live Company said it had prepped everything accordingly in the run-up.

However, because of the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and the group’s desire to “ensure the show is made to the highest possible quality”, it was not able to put on the event.

All ticket holders will be able to access full refunds from Ticketmaster or AXS.

Chairman David Ciclitira said in a company statement: “We are truly sorry to all the fans, and we hope to be able to put on a show next year with more time to organise and for everyone to plan in advance."

In July, Live Company successfully ran a KPOP event in Madrid, which it claims was the largest concernt of its kind in Spain, with final net revenue figures from the show expected soon.
