Live Company Group PLC (AIM:LVCG) has hailed the successful launch of its Korean pop brand in Madrid, pointing to Saturday’s inaugural concert as a strong starting point for future plans.
Korean bands SHINee, ATEEZ, CRAVITY, STAYC, ENHYPHEN, IVE and xikeres all performed at the KPOP Lux concert in Madrid’s Civitas Metropolitano stadium on Saturday, 22 July.
Held in partnership with Korean television network SBS, the concert prompted mass interest on social media, with tens of millions of people viewing hashtags related to the event.
“[It] was a tremendous launch for what is a 4-year project,” chairman David Ciclitira said, pointing out the event was the largest ever of its type in Spain.
Echoing comments from SBS that interest has appeared already, Ciclitira added: “We will be continuing to look at possibilities to bring a KPOP Lux SBS super concert to South America.”
Following the concert, Live Company has also begun planning for the launch of its KPOP Lux show in London, which is due to be held in the O2 later this year.
Saturday’s concert helped to prove KPOP’s popularity, a statement continued, prompting “hugely positive feedback from fans and media from around the world”.
