The emerging lithium-boron supplier is buoyed by the US being a desirable market for electric vehicle and battery minerals and products.
Under the MoU, INR will supply lithium carbonate and/or lithium hydroxide supply from its Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project to NexTech’s production facility in Carson City.
The increased total offtake represents approximately 34% of ioneer’s annual lithium carbonate production from Rhyolite Ridge in the first three years of operation.

The contract sets up a sulphuric acid plant that will generate enough electricity to power the entire Rhyolite Ridge operation, meaning ioneer won’t have to draw electricity from the grid.
This is the single largest supplier package for the Rhyolite Ridge Project and is a major step towards construction and development.
