“Preliminary battery testing has demonstrated electrochemical performance that is essentially as good as it gets for coated spherical graphite, due primarily to the unique properties of Chilalo flake graphite," MD Phil Hoskins said.
The results confirm that purified Chilalo graphite is a premium precursor material to producing spherical graphite for battery anode applications and nuclear-grade graphite, which sells for about US$30,000 per tonne.

With FEED work and financier discussions underway, the company is a step closer to ringing in a final investment decision for its flagship graphite asset in Tanzania.

The company’s move reflects an awareness that battery manufacturers and automakers need to focus on the sustainability of the raw materials in their supply chains.
The board of Evolution Energy Minerals is committed to achieving at least an 'A' rating, which will assist the company to become the standout near-term sustainable graphite producer.
