Peel Hunt also upgraded its profit forecast by 5% after the homewares group said it expected higher profits and margins from its new website
Gross margins have been stronger than expected due to sourcing gains and better sell through, said Dunelm as it boosted profit guidance for the fifth time this year
“Dunelm is on the cusp of delivering a step-change in its multi-channel capabilities positioning it well for future online growth”
RBC expects Dunelm to continue to gain share on account of its strong value for money offer and range advantage over other retailers.
The homeware retailer said the wobble reflected “in part” the weaker market, at its worst since 1995 according to data released by the British Retail Consortium
Analysts and investors had expected a special payout but the timing had not been certain
