The recent weakness in the Tullow Oil share price presents a “window of opportunity” to buy the stock, according to Melanie Savage, analyst at heavyweight bank UBS.

On Friday it was revealed that the high impact well encountered 72 metres of net oil pay in two turbidite fans. According to Tullow, Zaedyus opens up a whole new hydrocarbon basin, in which it has already mapped several neighbouring prospects. Analysts reckon the new oil province could be worth in excess of 700p a share to Tullow.
