All eyes will be on the US non-farm payrolls (NFP) report on Friday, which the first week of a new month generally brings.
The data will be keenly watched to see if the aggressive rate-rising policy of the Federal Reserve is denting the jobs market which has so far proved resilient (see more in the full macro preview here).
With the next monetary policy announcement on 14 December and stock markets rallying in recent weeks on an expected Fed "pivot", a strong number could lead to further leg higher.
