Xpediator hails return of Richard Myson as CFO; says trading in line

The group continues to trade well and in line with market expectations, said interim chairman Rob Riddleston

Xpediator PLC (AIM:XPD) said Richard Myson will be re-joining the company as chief financial officer from June 1 and current CFO Mike Williamson will leave the provider of freight management services on May 31.

Myson was CFO between 2016 and 2018, overseeing the company’s flotation, and has “significant knowledge” of the London-listed company, having held a variety of roles spanning 16 years.

"Richard is a highly experienced CFO and his knowledge of Xpediator, both operationally as well as of key personnel will be invaluable and I have no doubt that he will have an immediate and positive impact on the business,” said interim chairman Rob Riddleston.

The company’s chief executive Rob Ross stepped down last November and in March non-executive chairman Mark Whiteling and deputy chairman and founder Stephen Blyth both resigned from the board.

Riddleston said progress is being made on the search for a new non-executive chair and CEO.

"Further updates will be made, as appropriate, as soon as it is practicable to do so, and I am optimistic this will then result in a prolonged period of stability for the group," he said.

"Finally, and in spite of the events taking place in Ukraine as well as other macro-economic issues, the group continues to trade well and in line with market expectations," he reiterated.

Myson joined the company’s finance team in 2004 before becoming CFO at Delamode International Logistics in 2010.

His roles were not limited to finance, and in 2012, he became the chief executive of Affinity, Xpediator’s transport support solutions division.

He has a total of 30 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, including 10 years at Tibbett & Britten.
