S4 Capital PLC (LSE:SFOR) said today it will unveil its full-year results on Friday 6 May (tomorrow) following two postponements in March.
Sir Martin Sorrell’s digital advertising and marketing company blamed Covid-19 issues at its auditor PwC and the second time it simply said the auditor could not complete the work in time for the scheduled deadline.
Delays to results for billion pound companies are unusual nonetheless, especially those run by an accountant such as Sorrell.
Shares in the acquisitive ad group sunk on the delays, wiping off more than £1bn from its market value but confirmation of the new date gave investors some encouragement, with its shares 15% higher at 336p on Thursday just before close.
