Aurumin Ltd (ASX:AUN) has begun the first stage of exploration at its 100%-owned Central Sandstone Gold Project.
A vehicle-mounted auger drill program is designed to build on, and infill, five targets generated through auger work completed previously whilst also testing 36 additional areas of interest identified by Aurumin geologists.
There have been 849 auger holes planned to test the bedrock interface for geochemical sampling.
The Sandstone Gold Operations were cornerstoned by the acquisition of the Central Sandstone Project by AUN in early 2022.
Central Sandstone Project comprises a 784,000-ounce gold mineral resource and significant project infrastructure that AUN intends to use to support a gold mining operation in the future.
The company's Johnson Range Project has a mineral resource of 64,700 ounces at a grade of 2.51 g/t gold, located midway between Southern Cross and Sandstone.
