Brookside Energy appoints top-tier service company for Rangers Well completion operations

Cudd Energy Services (CES) will supply and operate the equipment and personnel for the completion of the Rangers Well under the supervision of the Black Mesa team.

Brookside Energy Ltd (ASX:BRK) has appointed top-tier service company Cudd Energy Services (CES) to carry out completion operations at the high-impact Rangers 36-25 SXH 1 Well in Oklahoma’s world-class Anadarko Basin.

The company’s US-based subsidiary and manager of operations Black Mesa Energy, LLC has executed a Master Services Agreement with Texas-based CES, a leading North American oilfield services company.

Completion contract

This contract is to supply and operate the equipment and personnel for the completion of the Rangers Well under the supervision of the Black Mesa team.

Completion equipment and personnel are expected to be mobilised to site in the first week of March to kickoff completion operations, with production and sales to follow soon after.

Rangers is Brookside’s second well in the SWISH Area of Interest (AOI) within Anadarko Basin following Jewell 13-12-1S-3W SXH1 with work started on the construction of an all-weather multi-well pad for the third well at the Flames drilling spacing unit (DSU).

SWISH AOI experience

CES has recent experience conducting completion operations in the SWISH area for Citation Oil and Gas

Corporation, one of the largest private oil and gas companies in the US and a 10.2% working interest (WI) holder in the Rangers DSU.

Since its inception, CES has been active in the SCOOP and Merge areas of the Anadarko Basin, stimulating wells for some of the largest listed oil & gas companies in the US including Continental Resources Inc. (market capitalisation of US$19 billion), which holds a 5.3% WI in the Rangers DSU and EOG Resources Inc (NYSE:EOG). (market cap of US$59 billion).
