SkinBioTherapeutics PLC (AIM:SBTX) has begun the recruiting process for a new chief financial officer, as current part-time incumbent Doug Quinn has decided to step down.
Quinn has been in the role for the skin health business since the flotation in 2017 but with the growth of the company, Quinn and the board agree that a full-time CFO role is required.
Unable to make this commitment, Quinn has decided to step down from the board, with the company aiming to appoint a replacement early in the second quarter of the year to ensure an orderly handover.
SkinBio said it is also seeking a new non-executive director to provide further board-level support on ecommerce and social media strategy and overall consumer trends.
"Given sales and marketing activities in the health and beauty fields are seen as being heavily influenced by digital practices, and, given the company's increasing ecommerce platform and digital presence, the aim is to broaden this type of experience at board level."
Chairman Martin Hunt said Quinn would help in the process of selecting a new full-time CFO who can guide the company through its next phase of development, moving from a single-product company to one with multiple commercial arms and additional partnerships with industry.
"Doug has been a mainstay of SkinBioTherapeutics since before the IPO and during the company's rapid growth to its current position with a product on the market, and a pipeline of other development programmes coming through. He has achieved all this whilst managing another CFO role."
