Feedback expects more partners for Indian TB project

The company had conducted its own funding round in November where it raised roughly £10.7mln

Feedback PLC (AIM:FDBK) expects more partners to join its TB screening project in India after Amazon signed up today, Tom Oakley, chief executive, told Proactive.

“There are a lot of components that have to come together, and we've been in active discussions and very advanced discussions with several parties to really take this forward.”

Amazon Web Services (AWS) will cover the initial cloud-hosting costs of the screening programme in India, it announced today, with funding funnelled through the AWS Diagnostic Development initiative.

It’s amazing news for Feedback, with Oakley saying it couldn’t have picked a better partner to move the project forwards and roll it out across India state-by-state.

“This funding is really just to get the pilot covered and cover those initial costs."

“We're a relatively small company and even though we've just done our own funding round to take this forward, it's always good to have partners come and co-venture this with you.”

With that in mind, Oakley and Feedback anticipate further partnerships to add to its current agreements to take the project further.

In addition to the partnership with AWS, the company’s first partner was Pure.ai, which created an algorithm that can diagnose TB from a photo.

“The idea is that you can do a TB screening with a chest x-ray in any location across India.”
