Feedback PLC (AIM:FDBK) has announced it received funding from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in support of its cloud-based tuberculosis (TB) screening programme for rural communities in India.
The company has been awarded funding through the AWS Diagnostic Development Initiative, which aims to accelerate research and innovation to advance understanding and detection of infectious diseases in order to mitigate potential outbreaks.
Feedback's technology will allow for chest X-ray images to be pushed over a mobile network to the cloud where it is shared by Feedback’s Bleepa app, either with a specialist clinician for reporting or a suitable artificial intelligence tool.
Specialist TB clinicians can then use Bleepa's patient-specific chat feature to connect directly to TB screening personnel to initiate treatment whilst the patient is still in the vicinity.
The image and any clinical reports or discussion will then be stored in a CareLocker, a cloud container that stores medical data at an individual patient level, with the entire solution hosted on AWS cloud.

Feedback shares were trading at 9p at the time of publication, up 13.58%.
