Twenty Seven Co Ltd (ASX:TSC), an exploration-based mining company, is about to begin targeting prospective gold anomalies with a reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its wholly owned Rover Gold Project in WA.
TSC’s field crew has been mobilised to site and local drilling contractor, Cashmere Drilling, will commence exploratory drilling at the Rover Gold Project next week.
The program will involve 31 RC holes constituting part of a 2,000-metre program targeting the highly prospective Blue Hills, Four Corners, Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) and Creasy 1 prospects. Bedrock geochemical signatures will also be tested with 25 inclined holes.
Having never been drill tested, the Blue Hills and Four Corners newly discovered geochemical anomalies offer a strong possibility of greenfield discoveries.
“Highest magnitude anomalies”
Drilling will explore strong gold-in-soil results which returned a 1.15 g/t gold (1,150 ppb) sample, and another six holes will test at depth and along strike of the Harmonic and Creasy 1 prospects in an effort to extend mineralisation.
“We are delighted to be commencing drilling at our Rover Gold Project with the program set to test several of the largest and highest magnitude gold-in-soil anomalies defined to date at Rover," TSC CEO Simon Phillips said.
"We will also be testing along strike from encouraging results at Harmonic and Creasy which will give us a better understanding of the potential scale of this mineralised system.
“Rover is in a highly sought-after exploration address and gives TSC a large strategic footprint in the Central Yilgarn prospective for Archean gold deposits. Previous work has already defined significant gold system from surface at the Harmonic and Creasy 1 prospects, so we are eager to get this next phase of exploration underway.
“Work is also continuing within our NSW portfolio and with activity continuing to increase throughout the coming months we look forward to providing further updates on exploration progress in due course.”
TSC is principally a gold-focused explorer with highly prospective assets in Western Australia’s Goldfields and copper, gold, lithium and base metals assets in NSW.

Rover drilling campaign
The RC drilling campaign is composed of two programs. The first is designed to explore previously reported results deemed significant at Harmonic and Creasy.
Drilling along strike and down dip will potentially increase the known mineralisation at the sites, following up on previous intersections identified by TSC in 2019 and 2020, including:
- 10 metres at 1.84 g/t gold from 44 metres including 1-metre at 9.17 g/t from 46 metres;
- 13 metres at 1.20 g/t from 58 metres, including 1-metre at 11.80 g/t from 59m;
- 15 metres at 1.00 g/t from 6 metres, including 3 metres at 4.39 g/t;
- 17 metres at 0.98 g/t from 0 metres, including 1-metre 3.74 g/t from 1-metre;
- 14 metres at 0.93 g/t from 19 metres, including 2 metres at 3.33 g/t and 21.20 g/t silver from 26 metres; and
- 10 metres at 1.00 g/t from 71 metres and 4 metres at 1.48 g/t from 75 metres.

The second program will explore anomalies identified from the most recent geochemical sampling program, which are the largest and highest magnitude gold-in-soil anomalies defined to date at the Rover Project, eclipsing the soil anomalies associated with the Creasy 1 and Harmonic gold discoveries only 10 kilometres to the south.
About 25 reconnaissance holes will be drilled in the Blue Hills and Four Corners prospects to identify any mineralisation existing on the boundary of quartzites and mafic units that are within the Edale Shear Zone.
Geochemical sampling
According to TSC, its geochemical sampling has proven highly successful in defining gold anomalism on the Rover Gold Project.
In November 2020, the company undertook a soil sampling program focused on outcropping and shallowly covered lithologies of the Maynard Hills Greenstone Belt and by extension the Edale Shear Zone.
This survey area covered a 9-kilometre by 1-kilometre corridor over the greenstones, collected on 50-metre centres on mostly 100-metre spaced east-west lines, with a total of 1,091 samples collected.
The southern limit of the sampled area is along geological strike from the Harmonic and Creasy 1 deposits, which are 10 kilometres to the south-southwest.
Three main anomalies have emerged along the greenstones of the Maynard Hills Greenstone Belt with an anomaly threshold of 3 ppb gold. From south to north the three new targets include:
- Blue Hills – one coherent 1.2-kilometre-long gold anomaly supported by associated arsenic and copper pathfinder metals. Blue Hills includes one sample which assayed a remarkable 1,150 ppb gold (1.15 g/t, with peak pathfinder metal values of 122 ppm arsenic and 85 ppm copper.
- Four Corners – a very extensive and unbroken 4.7-kilometre-long anomaly peaking at 60.5 ppb gold and with numerous samples assaying over 10 ppb gold. Associated pathfinder metals include arsenic to 182 ppb and copper to 105 ppm.
- Middle Well – a cluster of four anomalies extending over 1.2 kilometres of strike with the individual features having peak values of 42.9 ppb gold, 32 ppb gold, 11 ppb gold and 11 ppb gold, respectively.
Current programs and next steps
A summary of the current work programs underway across TSC’s portfolio and planned next steps are below:
- Commencement of RC drilling campaign at Rover;
- Commencement of geochemical sampling program at Rover;
- Plan further drilling once assays have been returned from the lab at Rover; and
- Undertake IOCG RC drilling within the Midas tenement in NSW.
