IXICO PLC (AIM:IXI, FRA:PYPB, OTC:PHYOF) (LON:IXI) will supply its AI data analytics and neuroscience expertise to a phase I clinical trial of a treatment for multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare condition of the nervous system.
The contract is worth more than US$500,000 over four years, investors were told.
Chief commercial officer Lammert Albers said: "IXICO is delighted to be awarded the contract for this MSA clinical trial reflecting IXICO's expertise in rare neurological indications.”
The neurodegenerative disorder affects up to 17,000 people in the US and an estimated 23,000 in the EU.
