AJ Bell PLC (LSE:AJB) (LSE:AJB) is on the lookout for a new chief financial officer after appointing Michael Summersgill to the newly created role of deputy chief executive.
Having held the role for ten years, he was promoted to support chief executive Andy Bell with the development and execution of the trading group’s strategy.

Roger Stott, who is group finance director and has been at the company for 13 years, was promoted to another newly created role, as chief operating officer. The pair will start their new roles on 1 October.
Meanwhile, Margaret Hassall has been appointed as a non-executive director starting on 1 September.
She recently held the same role at Nucleus Financial Group PLC (AIM:NUC, FRA:0RK) and OneSavings Bank PLC.
During her executive career, Hassall worked as a consultant for Deloitte for seven years, led the financial services consulting business for Charteris and was previously working at various banks.
"Our business is growing quickly and there are exciting opportunities to take advantage of in the investment platform market,” said Bell in a release.
“It is important that we have the resources and expertise within the business to support this growth and that includes the board.”
