Advanced Material Development: Specialists in commercialising 2D nanotechnology IP

Advanced Material Development's CEO John Lee introduces the business to Proactive London and says the idea when they first set the business up was to fund the R&D which was happening at the University of Sussex.

''The research is very much in the nanomaterial space ... we like to think of ourselves as liquid processing engineers'', he says.

''One part of that space is graphene which is very topical but isn't exclusively limited to that''.

He adds that the AMD commercial team is aiming to conclude licensing deals with end-users, receiving milestone payments and sales royalties for the intellectual property rather than moving wholesale into manufacturing and sales.
