Fluoroscopy is a type of medical scan where an X-ray is passed through the body continuously, allowing doctors to see real-time moving images of the inside of a patient.
Under the terms of the deal, medical imaging specialist Feedback will use its Cadran software platform to manage the entire system of IE’s Insight Essentials product, which will allow the latter to update fluoroscopy equipment across the US with an initial focus on 200 provider sites.
Feedback will receive a licence fee for each installation, some of which have already been performed.
Tom Oakley, Feedback’s chief executive, said the partnership will allow hospitals to “modernise their fluoroscopic equipment to meet the needs of the next decade” while also providing “considerable savings” and a reduction in equipment disposal.
He added that the deal with IE will provide “a new stream of revenue” in line with Feedback’s focus on its Cadran product portfolio.
Feedback shares were 4.2% lower at 1p in early trading on Monday.
