FutureGov, part of digital transformation services group The Panoply Holdings Plc (LON:TPX), was crowned winner of the 'Best Public Sector IT Project' for its work with three London local councils.
Over the past ten months, FutureGov has been developing a pilot for children’s social services which allows practitioners and families to access their case files online or via an app, in the London boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster.

The FamilyStory project is trying to help social workers by letting them take more flexible notes on cases when they are away from the office, and without needing to return there.
It aims to increase productivity and improve the ability for families and social workers to collaborate by contributing to a reduction in administrative tasks, improving transparency and collaboration across stakeholders, and informing decision making for social workers.
The award was presented at the UK IT Awards.
Panoply, which floated on AIM last December with a £5.4mln fundraising, acquired FutureGov in June 2019, as the group's largest acquisition to date.
Founder and chief executive of The Panoply, Neal Gandhi, said that recognition of the FamilyStory project “demonstrates what is possible when the public sector makes the bold decision to try an entirely new approach compared to working with the unchanging, monolithic providers of the past”.
“Our opportunity now is to take FamilyStory to the 152 local authorities currently using archaic case management systems, and to help them enable social workers to obtain significant productivity gains and create better outcomes for the approximately 390,000 children in need in England alone," he added.
