Remote Monitored Systems PLC (LON:RMS) subsidiary Geocurve is setting up a mobile mapping joint venture with an established survey specialist.
Wholly owned Geocurve has agreed to form a contractual joint venture with Landscope Engineering Ltd, a 15-year old company specialising in providing survey and data management service to the engineering, built infrastructure and environmental sectors in the UK and Ireland.

Under a common brand, the JV will jointly market, procure and deliver commercial services using a combination of certain assets and customer pipelines from the two businesses.
The intention of the JV is to combine knowledge and “create a centre of excellence in mobile mapping” with the ultimate goal becoming a market leader in the acquisition and analysis of mobile mapping data.
Under its mobile mapping services, Geocurve was the first company in UK to own both the Leica Pegasus:Two and a Leica Pegasus backpack.
Geocurve director Laura Grice said the JV provides the opportunity to ensure that the Pegasus Two equipment is “utilised to its full capacity and at maximum value”.
Landscope said that mobile mapping is fast becoming one of its key offerings and the JV’s combination of mobile geophysical, hydrographic and inspection solutions “will be well placed to unlock many new opportunities”.
