Black Cat Syndicate Ltd (ASX:BC8) has intersected thick, high-grade gold up to 6 metres at 4.67 g/t in sub-audio magnetic (SAM) targets between the Myhree and Boundary deposits at Bulong Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.
The program consisted of 15 holes for 1,380 metres with results showing an extension to the Boundary South lode on both the north and south limits of mineralisation.
The drill results have confirmed that Black Cat's SAM surveys are proving an effective targeting tool at Bulong.
Reverse circulation drilling was undertaken at Boundary with the aim of extending mineralisation to the south, infilling parts of the Boundary South lode and following-up a potential lode to the southeast of the Boundary South lode.

Black Cat’s managing director Gareth Solly said the drilling results on the interpreted SAM targets were extremely encouraging.
“The drilling at SAM Target 1 shows that the intersection of the NS and NE structures contains thick, high-grade mineralisation.
“At SAM Target 2 we have identified a mineralised structure providing a clear vector towards potentially high-grade mineralisation.
“The SAM survey over Greater Woodline is expected to be available in June 2019 and other SAM surveys to the north of Boundary and to the south of Myhree are planned for the September 2019 quarter.”

Solly added: “In the meantime extensional drilling has recommenced at SAM Target 3 where exceptional mineralisation was drilling during April 2019.
“We continue to close the undrilled gap along this strongly mineralised corridor.”
Results include:
- 6 metres at 4.67 g/t from 60 metres;
- 9 metres at 2.13 g/t from 48 metres;
- 7 metres at 1.44 g/t from 72 metres;
- 5 metres at 2.95 g/t from 107 metres;
- 3 metres at 1.06 g/t from 56 metres;
- 1-metre at 0.97 g/t from 71 metres; and
- 4 metres at 1.49 g/t from 46 metres.
The untested zone between Myhree and Boundary has now been reduced from 640 metres to 600 metres.
This area will be the main focus for Black Cat over the coming months.
