Galan Lithium Ltd (ASX:GLM) has had the Pata Pila licence granted, extending its greater Hombre Muerto Lithium Brine Project in Argentina.
Pata Pila covers a large area of alluvial fan interpreted to overlie the western margin of the Hombre Muerto sale lake.
Furthermore, recent geophysical work showed a highly conductive horizontal layer compatible with geological units that may contain brines.

The south‐west extreme of the line shows the limit of the conductive materials which is more transitional and may be due to mixing of fresh/salty water content with brines in the area.
From station 10400 to the west the resistive materials are interpreted as metamorphic basement.
The overlying materials are more resistive than the materials below and are interpreted as alluvial sediments saturated with fresh or salty water.

The maiden drilling campaign testing the geophysical model has now commenced at the northern end of the Candelas project area.
Results from the initial hole will test the modelling and give important information on the stratigraphy of the area.
This maiden drill program is planned to comprise five holes to be drilled along the 12‐15 kilometre extent of the Candelas channel.
The first hole is progressing well and is at 130 metres depth and is ongoing.
