Taptica suspends share buyback programme as it begins talks with potential acquisition target

“A further announcement will be made in due course. There can be no certainty that any transaction will follow or regarding the terms of any such transaction.”

Mobile advertising group Taptica International Ltd (LON:TAP) has entered into preliminary discussions with an unnamed potential acquisition target.

No further details were given in the brief statement but Taptica said it will make another announcement “in due course”.

The AIM company then added the usual disclaimer that “there can be no certainty that any transaction will follow or regarding the terms of any such transaction”.

Given the talks, it has suspended its US$10mln share buyback programme which it announced last month.

The programme will start up again should these talks terminate, and the company not be in a close period for any other reason.
