Jindalee Resources Ltd (ASX:JRL) has received further positive lithium assays from its initial drill program at the McDermitt Project near the Nevada-Oregon border in the US.
Four vertical diamond holes were drilled to an average depth of 90 metres to gain an understanding of the thickness and grade of lithium mineralisation previously encountered in surface sampling.

Results from the first hole indicated the presence of three distinct zones of lithium mineralisation.
The additional assays just received from the second hole show considerably thicker and higher grades of lithium mineralisation up to 22 metres at 2187 ppm lithium, including 6 metres at 3113 ppm lithium and 12 metres at 2781 ppm lithium.

The average grade of 1415 ppm lithium over the entire 80.4 metres of core recovered from the second hole highlights the potential scale of the system at McDermitt.
These broad zones of lithium mineralisation offer encouragement that the McDermitt Project has the potential to host similar grades and thicknesses of lithium mineralisation to those reported for Lithium Americas’ (TSE:LAC) Thacker Pass Project along strike to the south.
The Thacker Pass Project hosts the highest grade of all known sediment hosted lithium deposits in the US and is one of the most advanced, having recently completed a pre-feasibility study.
McDermitt Project
Jindalee’s McDermitt Project comprises 242 placer mineral claims covering about 4840 acres. The project is located on 100% owned tenure, with no royalty overhang.
