Shares dipped 2.3% to 29.6p.

The company, which provides specialist finance facilities to the SME sector, said pre-tax profit jumped 93% to £7.9mln in the year to the end of May and revenues gained 78% to £30mln. The dividend was raised to 0.65p per share.

Epwin Group PLC (LON:EPWIN) shares rose 7.2% to 81p after the maker of maintenance building products posted better-than-expected revenues for the first half.

Revenue fell to £142.4mln from £149.9mln a year ago due to heavy snowfall in early 2018 but the decline was not as bad as the company had feared. Pre-tax profit fell to £5.4mln from £7.5mln.

The group sees pre-tax profits meeting market forecasts with results expected to be weighted to the busier second half.

MyCelx Technologies shares surge after first-half revenue and earnings jump

MyCelx Technologies Corp. (LON:MYX) shares gushed up 44% on Wednesday after the clean water technology firm posted a sharp rise in first-half revenue and earnings.

The company, which services the oil and gas sector and commercial industrial markets, said revenue more than doubled to US$12.2mln from US$5.9mln last year and earnings (EBITDA) surged to US$2.7mln from US$300,000.

The company said trading in the first five months of the year commencing April 1 has been behind that of the same period a year ago.
