St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) has intersected further high-grade nickel-copper sulphides down dip at the Investigators prospect within the Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia.
Notably, drill hole MAD112 was completed in the eastern section of the Investigators Prospect to test a discrete down-hole electromagnetic (DHEM) conductor.
Massive sulphides were intersected in an ultramafic unit from 102.9 metres depth that included intersections of massive sulphides with XRF grades up to 8.6% nickel and 2.6% copper.
Laboratory assays are pending and are required to confirm the grades shown herein which are based on portable XRF analysis only.

St George’s executive chairman John Prineas said: “MAD112 was another big step-out from the known high-grade mineralisation in this area and has been successful in confirming additional massive sulphides down dip towards the north.
“As with MAD108, which was reported in our ASX Release of 23 July 2018, we are seeing more high-grade mineralisation at depth at Investigators. We are planning drill holes to further test these depth extensions to the north and north-west.
“With very little drilling here beyond 200 metres from surface, we believe this is a compelling exploration area for further discoveries at Investigators.”
Drill program focusing on EM conductors at Investigators
The current drill program at the Investigators prospect is focused on testing EM conductors.
These latest results confirm the significant exploration potential at depth within the Investigators prospect.
