Strategic Elements completes fieldwork at three Pilbara gold projects

Assays from samples are expected within several weeks.

Strategic Elements Ltd (ASX:SOR) recently completed initial fieldwork targeting conglomerate-hosted and alluvial gold at three projects in the West Pilbara area of Western Australia.

Exploration at the Rocklea Dome, Milli Milli Dome, and Bellary Dome projects included mapping, sampling and metal detecting.

Samples have been sent to a laboratory for analysis and results and related reporting is expected within several weeks.

At the Rocklea Dome project, around 75 prospecting pits were identified to have been dug by prospectors looking for gold nuggets.

The team collected 16 small gold nuggets from around the historical prospecting areas.

Although early stage, gold is thought to be related to quartz veins.

Hardey Formation mapped

Rocklea Dome also has 10 kilometres of unexplored Hardey Formation outcropping and substantial areas under cover.

The Hardey Formation is a well-known geology formation as it contains gold in conglomerate horizons elsewhere in the Pilbara.

Additionally, the exploration program at Milli Milli Dome consisted of mapping and drainage sampling within the mapped Hardey Formation.
