A look at some of the top risers and fallers in London today

Bluejay Mining Plc (LON:JAY) told investors that it is unaware of ‘any company specific inside information’ that would explain the recent share price weakness and said that its ongoing field season is progressing well.

The AIM-quoted share was, nonetheless, down 13% this afternoon changing hands at 16.91p each.

Genel Energy PLC (LON:GENL) advanced more than 11%, to 295p, as investors welcomed a financial results statement that boasted “significant free cash flow”, more than US$10mln per month.

Shares in tech recruiter Harvey Nash Group PLC (LON:HVN) shot up 16%, to 130p, as it received a bid to take it private, at 130p a share in cash or a 17% premium to the close yesterday.

Independent directors are recommending the offer, which is being made by funds controlled by shareholder DBAY Advisors. The offer values Nash at £98.7mln. DBAY already controls 26.1% of Harvey Nash shares, while directors speaking for 1.72% have also agreed to the offer.

Asset manager Standard Life Aberdeen PLC (LON:SLA) moved 3.85% higher to 318.4p, despite reporting lower first-half profits and assets under management and administration (AUMA), blaming challenging market conditions.

The investment company, which was formed out of the merger of Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management last August, said adjusted pre-tax profit fell to £478mln in the six months to June 30 from £521mln a year ago. The previous year’s results were prepared as if Standard Life and Aberdeen had always been merged.

Domino's Pizza Group PLC (LON:DOM) shed about 9%, to 288.7p, as it cautioned on the UK’s trading environment and like-for-like (LFL) sales in the second quarter came in lower than the first despite a boost from the World Cup.

The FTSE 250-pizza chain operator reported LFL sales growth in the UK & Ireland of 5.9% in the period, up from 2.4% growth in the first half of 2017, while its underlying profit before tax grew 2.5% to £45.7mln and UK & Ireland sales rose 8.1% to £565.1mln.

In terms of quarterly numbers, the firm reported UK LFL sales growth in the second quarter of 4.7%, lower than the 7% reported in the first quarter as the hot weather offset a boost from the World Cup period.

Elsewhere, Intertek Group PLC (LON:ITRK) shares dropped 6.5% to 5,488p, as it posted a decline in first-half revenue, reflecting foreign exchange headwinds and a weak performance in the divisions that service the trade and resources industries.
