Black Cat Syndicate Ltd (ASX:BC8) has received further high-grade gold results from ongoing extensional reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Bulong Gold Project near Kalgoorlie.
Results indicate that the mineralised internal veins and footwall shear at the historical Queen Margaret mine continue to plunge south with depth.
Detailed mapping has also identified an offsetting fault at the southern end of the prospect, which the company believes will potentially extend the Queen Margaret mineralisation.

Like the company’s first phase of drilling, the newest holes have intersected numerous mineralised veins within and on the contacts of the Queen Margaret porphyry.
Highlighted results include: 2 metres at 7.37 g/t gold from 52 metres; 4 metres at 3.37 g/t from 25 metres; 4 metres at 2.84 g/t from 51 metres; 1 metre at 7.45 g/t from 49 metres; and 3 metres at 2.16 g/t from 68 metres.
Drilling is continuing with 29 holes for 2,656 metres completed to date.
Results to be used in resource modelling
Black Cat managing director Gareth Solly said the data from Queen Margaret would be used in the company’s upcoming resource work.
He said: “Results to date show the footwall and internal veins continue with depth.
“Importantly, we have identified a structure that appears to offset the Queen Margaret host porphyry.
“This opens up 800 metres of potential to Queen Margaret South and is likely the reason that pre-World War I miners stopped mining where they did.”
Potential for open pit development
The extensional drilling program is expected to finish in early August.
Holes have been designed to extend the mineralisation southward towards the offsetting fault and at depth to test the interpreted southerly plunge to the high-grade trend.
Black Cat believes the extended mineralisation has the potential to advance to open pit development above the historic mine.
