Live Company’s BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise show to go on three-year tour of China

The tour is set to start at the beginning of September and will see more than 60 animal models built entirely from LEGO taken to 20 venues over the three-year period

Live Company Group Plc’s (LON:LVCG) BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise show will begin a three-year, twenty-city tour of China next month.

The show, which is expected to attract a million visitors over the duration of the tour, will feature more than 60 animal models built from LEGO as well as an array of digital educational experiences.

The first stop will be the National Stadium in Beijing, otherwise known as the Bird’s Nest stadium which was used throughout the 2008 Olympics.

“This tour represents the culmination of everything we have worked and aimed for,” said Live Company executive chairman David Ciclitira.

“Coupled with the launch of the new contract in Korea at the end of June, the BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise tour demonstrates that we have truly captured the world's attention with BRICKLIVE.

“To be pairing this presence with the pressing issue of protecting endangered species is immensely rewarding.”

Live Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Brick Live International, has struck a deal worth US$3.1mln with the firm’s 49%-owned Chinese joint venture, BLC, to sub-licence the show to Decheng Holding.

In return, BLC will receive a guaranteed percentage of sponsorship and ticket revenue.

The initial contract is for twenty shows over three years until September 2021 although Decheng has an option to extend the agreement for another three years on the same terms.

Shares were down 1.7% to 71.3p in late afternoon trading.
