ITM Power plc (LON:ITM) has appointed its current chief financial officer (CFO), Andrew Charles Allen, to the board with immediate effect as company finance director.
The AIM-listed company, which manufactures hydrogen power solutions, said Allen had previously qualified as a chartered accountant in Sheffield in 2007, and has an extensive background in auditing small and medium manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) in South Yorkshire, before joining ITM Power in 2011 as financial controller and becoming CFO in 2015.

Prof. Roger Putnam, chairman of ITM Power, said: "We are delighted that Andy is joining ITM Power's Board. He has been an integral part of the management team in his position as CFO and his contribution in the period since he joined has been invaluable. We are today recognising his contribution with this appointment."
The appointment follows project developments for the company earlier in May, when it announced it had played a key role in the first refuelling of a hydrogen van in the Orkney Islands as part of the Building Innovative Green Hydrogen Systems in an Isolated Territory (BIG HIT) demonstration project.
