St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) has continued to intersect nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation at the Mt Alexander Project near Leonora, Western Australia.
A 16.1-metre section of sulphide mineralisation has been visibly observed in the 70-metre deep hole MAD95.
This included a 1-metre section of semi-massive sulphides with average XRF readings of 4.4% nickel.
Downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys underway at Stricklands
St George’s executive chairman John Prineas said: “The intersection of nickel-copper sulphides in MAD95 indicates that the mineralised ultramafic extends to the west of MAD71 and remains open in the western section of the large SAMSON EM anomaly at Stricklands.
“Drilling in the current program has been successful in identifying additional high-grade mineralisation in the expansive Stricklands mineral system.
“Further drilling will be planned at Stricklands after the DHEM survey results from the recently completed drill holes are reviewed.”

The Mt Alexander Project hosts the Cathedrals, Stricklands and Investigators nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE discoveries.
While DHEM surveys are underway on the recently drilled holes at Stricklands, the drill rig has moved to the Investigators prosect where drilling of MAD97 has commenced.
Another four drill holes are planned at Investigators in the current programme to test deep EM targets
Drill holes MAD94 and MAD96 were drilled at Stricklands in the last week and intersected mafic rocks but no visible sulphides were evident.
