Vast Resources PLC (LON:VAST) has boosted the resource at its 100%-owned Manaila mine by 78% to 4.6mln tonnes of ore grading 0.97% copper, 0.32% lead, 0.68%zinc, 25.8 grams per tonne silver, and 0.23% gold.
The new data was compiled after 19 new surface diamond drill holes were put into Manaila in 2017.

The open pit portion of the resource in the indicated category amounts to just over 3.5mln tonnes, while there is also a small underground indicated resource of just under 0.4mln tonnes.
It all adds up to an implied mine life of in excess of 11 years, based on a mining rate of 30,000 tonnes per month.
Additional significant exploration targets have been identified.
