St George Mining Ltd’s (ASX:SGQ) drilling of nickel sulphide targets at the Windsor X3 prospect has indicated that a large mineralised system may be identified at depth.
The project which is situated at St George’s East Laverton Project in Western Australia has continued to provide high priority targets for nickel sulphide mineralisation.

John Prineas, executive chairman, said: “The DHEM (downhole electromagnetic) survey data has allowed for a more definitive modelling of the Windsor X3 conductor.
“We are pleased to be able to immediately commence drilling of a further drill hole to test this large and exciting target.”
Leading up to recommencement of drilling the company noted that previous drilling indicated there was the potential for significant nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Deeper drilling to provide further information
A new drill hole has been commenced to test a deeper conductor.
The DHEM survey data for the previous hole recorded a positive anomalous electromagnetic response which increased towards the end of the drill hole.
Modelling of the survey data indicates that the conductor is situated approximately 500 metres downhole.
The Windsor X3 conductor has a favourable structural position for nickel sulphide mineralisation, being coincident with a magnetic feature, and on the edge of a gravity feature.
