Canarc Resource Corp (TSX:CCM) revealed there is set to be a change of interest ownership for its past-producing Eskay Creek gold mine in British Columbia.
Canarc and partner Barrick Gold owned respectively 33.33% and 66.67% in six claims and leases totaling 2,323 hectares at Eskay.

Canarc will retain its 33.33% carried interest while Barrick's 66.67% interest will pass to Skeena Resources Ltd when Skeena has met its obligations under an option deal inked with Barrick this month.
"Canarc is pleased to see the renewed interest in this property and will benefit from any future exploration success and development that may occur on these claims," the company said in a brief regulatory release.

The past producing Eskay Creek Gold mine was the richest gold-silver mine in the world in the 1990s and produced 3.3mln ounces of gold and 160mln ounces of silver from 2.2mln tonnes during a 14-year mining operation.
