Canarc Resource Corp awaits Fondaway Canyon drill assays as sampling encourages

The positive results and results from past and present drilling will inform future drill targets...

Precious metals group Canarc Resource Corp (CVE:CCM) says it has completed six of seven planned holes at the Fondaway Canyon property in Nevada, with assays for the first three expected this month (November).

Also, rock chip sampling has returned more high-grade gold values exceeding five grams per tonne (gpt) in multiple zones, the company highlighted.

The positive results and results from past and present drilling will inform future drill targets.

Of 56 surface rock-chip samples collected since the last report on surface sampling in July this year, 28 samples exceed 0.5 gpt (grams per ton) gold and eight samples were more than 6 gpt,it said.

Samples results range from 6gpt to 42 gpt of the yellow metal, Canarc said.

The firm is bidding to expand the current resource at Fondaway of 1mln ounces of gold resources (409,000 at 6.18 g/t indicated and 600.000 ounces inferred).

Drill assays for all seven holes are expected in December 2017.

Canarc shares were unchanged at C$0.07 in Toronto.
