Cyber-security specialist Corero Network Security PLC (LON:CNS) has displaced a competitor with its SmartWall technology at a North American regional internet service provider (ISP).
The AIM-listed company said the unnamed ISP has selected the SmartWall Threat Defense System technology to power a new distributed denial of service (DDoS) mitigation service; a DDOS attack is when a malicious agency floods an ISP’s servers with input/output requests, bringing traffic flow to a halt.
