Strategic Elements (ASX:SOR) has confirmed that it holds eight exploration licence applications in the west Pilbara targeting conglomerate gold after receiving significant interest from investors.
The investor interest comes after recent gold discoveries in the Pilbara region by Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV), Novo Resources (CNSX:NVO) and De Grey Mining (ASX:DEG) .
Shares in De Grey Mining have more than tripled over the past fortnight after it uncovered an outcropping conglomerate which included 91 mainly watermelon seed shaped gold nuggets.
Strategic’s eight licences form the basis for three projects, Milli Milli, Rocklea and Bellary.
The three projects contain over 70 kilometres strike kilometres of lower Fortescue Group rocks including both the Hardey Formation and the Mount Roe Basalt.
These units elsewhere in the Pilbara have been identified by Novo Resources to be associated with conglomerate style gold.
A number of the projects directly border or are adjacent to projects held by Novo Resources and/or the Creasy Group.

Technology portfolio: printable memory ink
Alongside its exploration portfolio, Strategic is developing a high-performance printable nanocube memory ink with the potential to disrupt the fast-growing printed electronics sector.
The goal is to bring memory to devices and surfaces with different shapes and new flexible forms.
During March 2017, a stage two development agreement was entered into with one of the world’s leading research and technology organisations, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd.
During stage one, VTT were able to advise on a number of critical adjustments to lab fabrication conditions that will significantly benefit future devices developed at UNSW.
