Amur Minerals reveals lab analysis confirming positive drilling results

Confirmed and verified lab results will feed into desktop work for an upcoming new resource estimation

Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) told investors that it has had its first batch of findings from lab analysis of samples from the Kun Manie nickel project in Russia.

Meanwhile, a second batch of results is presently under management review following receipt from the lab and a third batch is still undergoing lab analysis.

The initial batch, comprising some 561 core samples from recent drilling, has been used to independently verify the nickel and copper findings. The results will be incorporated into the group’s ongoing work towards a new mineral resource estimate for the project.

The results come from 12 holes, which addressed a total of 17 mineralised intervals, and the analysis confirmed an average mineralised thickness of 16.8 metres per hole with an average nickel grade of 0.82% and 0.26% respectively prior x-ray fluorescence (RFA) analysis suggested 16.9 metres with 0.84% and 0.27%.

Amur confirmed that both the lab and RFA results are ‘well within industry standards’ and as such it continues to believe that RFA provides an accurate representation of drill results with regard to mineralised thicknesses and contained nickel and copper.

Robin Young, chief executive, said: "We are pleased to inform shareholders that our first set of analytical results, reported within our previous drill update RNS statements, are being validated by external and certified Alex Stewart Laboratories, based in Moscow.

“With a minimum of variance, well within industry acceptable standards, the newly delivered analyses will be input into our drill hole data base replacing our internally derived results for inclusion in future Mineral Resource Estimate updates on the Kubuk and Ikenskoe /Sobolevksy deposits.

“As each set of results is delivered, we shall continue to review the results and provide further updates as our independent information accumulates over the course of our drill season.”
