Corero Network Security PLC (LON:CNS) said its SmartWall service is now up and running at a tier one internet service provider (ISP).
Corero announced the deal with the ISP on 19 April but did not reveal the identity of the customer; it has now been disclosed that the company is GTT Communications Inc (NYSE:GTT).

GTT is using Corero’s SmartWall Threat Defense System as the platform for a distributed denial of service (DDoS) offering.
A DDoS attack is where a malicious agency overwhelms a networked system with a flood of input/output requests, effectively bringing the system to a standstill.
SmartWall is a market leader in preventing these sorts of attacks.
GTT is a leading global cloud networking provider to multinational clients.
With a nod to the recent panic over the “wannacry” virus attack, Corero’s chief executive officer Ashley Stephenson said the announcement was timely, “given the extremely volatile cyber threat landscape we are facing today”.
"As organisations look to re-evaluate their cyber defence strategy, and map their defences to the needs of their business, access to real-time, automated DDoS protection from Internet service providers will be critical," Stephenson said.
